DMXcat® simplifies the process for anyone to manage, analyze, or test any DMX lighting fixture, whether it's a basic LED PAR or a sophisticated moving light. The system comprises a compact hardware dongle (available for separate purchase) and a suite of complimentary mobile applications. Together, they provide wireless DMX and RDM control alongside other valuable lighting functionalities directly to the user's smartphone. Addressing a common challenge encountered by users of modern lighting equipment: how to activate and test DMX lighting gear without the need for a complex lighting console.
The DMXcat app is now offered in seven languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, Japanese, and English.

Hardware
The hardware component of the DMXcat is a portable battery-powered device that conveniently fits in a pocket, tool pouch, or can be worn on a belt. Utilizing Bluetooth LE technology for seamless communication with the smartphone applications within a range of up to 50 feet. This wireless setup allows users to navigate their workspace freely while running various apps on their smartphone, making it easy to stay connected on the job. The device's five-pin XLRF connector/cable assembly permits connection at any point in a DMX data chain for testing or controlling various DMX/RDM functions. Charging is hassle-free using a standard USB to Micro-USB cable and charger. Additional features include a built-in LED flashlight, an audible alarm for locating misplaced units, XLR5M to XLR5M Turnaround adapter, LED status indicator, and a detachable belt clip with a split ring safety point. Optional accessories encompass XLR5M to RJ45 Adapter, XLR5M to XLR3F Adapter, XLR5M to XLR3M Turnaround adapter, and a Belt Pouch.
